The soybean checkoff actively supports animal agriculture, which is the country's number one soybean meal customer, meaning more profit opportunities for soybean farmers in our communities. Livestock and poultry also support our local economy by generating more demand for our soybeans. In fact, livestock and poultry created $1.8 billion of output, over 10,000 jobs and $66 million in taxes for the state of South Carolina. To learn more about how animal agriculture affects soybean farmers and state and local communities, visit www.animalag.org.
